Our approach has a strong focus on understanding the organization's overarching business goals and operating environment.

Achieving this
understanding enables us to:

Support organisations to assess  how the
human rights intersect with their business.

Develop a plan for how the human rights will be implemented into their everyday service delivery.

We work with organisations to deliver their services into the future that will promote and protect human rights.

Human rights are about promoting and protecting the values of respect, dignity and equality for every person, irrespective of race, sex, religion, political opinion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, social status, age or any other characteristic.

What are the key benefits of engaging with human rights for public entities?

Both in Australia and overseas, many organisations have recognised that implementing a human rights based approach within their services has resulted in numerous benefits.  These include:

  • Improves quality of service design, in particular for the most marginalised, excluded and disadvantaged in our community.

  • Improves decision-making by providing a framework to identify, assess and balance human rights against other rights and interests.

  • Helps manage organisational risks, such as litigation.

  • Builds reputation and credibility.

  • Creates a framework for solving problems.

  • Provides a protective mechanism to engage compliance and adherence to human rights laws.

  • Inspires staff and gives them a framework to act with a moral compass when engaging with people.
