Equalising Employment

We specialise in creating Pathways to Equalising Employment, particularly to support people living with a disability and helping to change employers mindsets to think differently about inclusion and diversity.

We work with both the job seekers and employers to ensure a collaborative and equal opportunity can occur. This starts with Career Profiling providing individuals with disability access to specialised career assessment and profiling tools. We conduct individual skills assessments and goals to develop the next steps in their career journey.

From this, individuals with disability will obtain an individualised profile of their job preferences and interests, skills sets and capabilities and gain an understanding of the industry/s and roles that they are interested in

Employers also receive access to detailed applicant information to support the match within their organisation

We then work with people living with a disability to Plan a specialised career pathway. This includes one-on-one support to review and develop career aspirations, interests and goals and an exploration of career options, matched with career profile and individual preferences.

We help to create valuable Industry Connections as a vehicle for people with and without disabilities to meet and form connections with industry influencers. This can include target groups and mentoring, events or online activities.

We can provide valuable insights into different industries as well as inspiration and motivation to the individual.

We work in partnership with Inclusive Employers to develop and deliver tailored solutions aimed at building a strong and diverse workforce, and building a workforce that reflects the community that we live in. This might include reviewing existing access and inclusion policies, procedures and practices, assessing organisations disability confidence or provide support to increase knowledge and awareness.

We help employers to create individualised business strategies that can be used to evaluate progress in becoming an accessible and inclusive employer.

Our team consists of both people with and without lived experience of disability to support businesses through this change process.

We guided Second Shot through our Investing for Impact method to validate and formulate the business model, successfully attract funding to launch the social business and assist with the launch preparations.
