Anna Hebron Consultant Bio 

 

Anna is a highly experienced public sector executive, strategic advisor and non- executive director with over 25 years’ experience producing quality results in complex environments. She has qualifications in governance and human resources and a track record of building collaborative partnerships and designing purposeful outcomes through simple processes. Anna has led major change projects and delivered transformational outcomes through business simplification, boosting employee engagement and refining strategic alignment. Anna brings capability across human resources policy and practice, coaching and facilitation, corporate governance, ethical standards and investigation, organisational change and transformation, health and safety, audit and risk, ICT, customer service, asset management, multicultural, regional and remote communities, volunteer management, business continuity planning and disaster preparedness
 

Examples of Anna’s experience are: 

 

  • HR/governance lead for transition project of a federal government program involving widespread changes to service delivery, organisational structure, leadership capability and accountability, process review, ICT capability, operational and governance model, training and communications for an dispersed organisation of 100+ employees across Australia and the Pacific region. 

  • Coaching individuals and teams to boost employee capability, manage performance, improve team dynamics, facilitate difficult conversation and navigate sensitive interactions. 

  • Relocated to Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council to undertake governance review and interim role as Corporate Services Director. 

  • Partnerships and strategy lead for the NSW Temporary Housing Taskforce building the temporary villages for the flood impacted Northern Rivers area and delivered improved governance through establishing structured stakeholder consultation and guidance mechanisms and the Temporary Housing Handbook. 

  • Facilitation of workshops with boards and teams to create values, purpose and mission, align organisational metrics, develop business continuity frameworks, test disaster management scenarios and address issues of risk, strategy, culture and performance. 

  • Created outcomes in organisational redesign, process simplification, workforce planning, employee engagement, technology and culture transformation and change for a workforce of operational, technical and administrative employees partnering with HR, ICT, corporate and support services business models to maximise alignment and engagement. 

  • Review of the governance framework of an industry association representing 850 members and delivery of workshop to enhance governance obligations and identify transition and succession strategies and opportunities for new and existing members. 

  • Organisational review of a community radio station to create organisational structure, position descriptions, organisational policies, work practices, new employment contracts, upgraded committee and committee member responsibility statements to deliver clear lines of roles and responsibility and accountability between board and management. 

  • Workplace assessment and analysis including data review and stakeholder interviews of 100+ employees in professional, technical and administrative streams to further explore findings from a staff engagement survey and identify options to address employee concerns. 

  • Mediation of a long-standing dispute between an elected member and employee to a successful outcome including navigating the integrity requirements of the local government legislation and complex issues and positions of both parties. 

  • Facilitation of workshops across the Northern Territory to elicit and understand the issues impacting women in remote and regional areas and development of targeted education and support programs. 

  • Design and facilitation of workshops on the future of work, agile organisations, leadership through change, creating strategy and purpose, team connection and personal leadership development and tools.
